Inquiring as to why chief minister Nara chandrababu naidu did not request Special Category Status for ap during his visit with the prime minister in New delhi is former YSRC lawmaker T.J.R. sudhakar Babu. Speaking to the media here on Friday, he stated, "Naidu must pressurise the Centre for SCS by making good use of the present opportunity wherein his party is part of the central government."

One month has passed since the telugu Desam took office. The public are waiting for the poll promises made by the coalition led by TD to be implemented," he stated. "We demand that every right of ap should be pressed with and taken from the Centre including SCS," sudhakar Babu said, expressing his gratitude for the chief minister's meeting with PM Modi and Union ministers. He said that by regularly requesting it on each of his visits to delhi over the last five years, former chief minister Y.S. jagan Mohan reddy had "kept the issue of SCS alive." He questioned, "Why is Chandrababu not asking for this when nitish kumar of bihar is demanding SCS."

Chandrababu, according to Sudhakar, was now driving the NDA. There is a belief that Naidu can now do SCS. To obtain this for ap, he needs to exert pressure on the Modi administration. He said that the TD-led government discriminated against Dalits who backed the YSRC in the most recent elections by refusing to increase their pensions during the implementation of the ~7,000 social security pension. He pointed out that the YSRC administration had not demonstrated any prejudice in dispensing benefits, and he challenged the TD government to do the same on a saturation basis.
