AP - Kovur Police Launch Crackdown on Illegal Sand Mining
Several sand-filled tractors and dump trucks have been seized as a consequence of a crackdown against illicit sand mining operations in the area by the Kovur police in the nellore district. The operation, which started early on friday morning, was focused on the Mandal boundaries' Penna watershed region.
Following a tip, Kovur sub-inspector ranganath and his colleagues conducted inspections in the region, seizing tractors and tippers covered in sand at Inumadu Centre.
