The Bahujan Samaj party president from tamil Nadu was hacked to death on friday close to his chennai home by six guys on bikes in a blatant attack. Eight people have been detained for the incident, according to the police.

In the Sembium neighborhood of the city, Armstrong was having a conversation with a few party officials when the six guys ambushed him and took off. Despite the family's best efforts to get him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.

"So far, we have apprehended eight suspects in the murder case. This inquiry is in its early stages. We have organized ten teams. Our mission is to expose the perpetrators. We will be able to ascertain the reason for the murder after questioning these suspects. There has been some usage of sharp weapons, according to senior chennai police official Asra Garg.
Police have not confirmed claims that the perpetrators pretended to be food delivery personnel.

The detective assigned to the case is the Sembium inspector of police.

The opposition has lashed out at tamil Nadu's ruling DMK, claiming that the murder is proof of the state's deteriorating law and order issues.

Edappadi Palaniswamy, the leader of the opposition, remarked, "What do I say when the state chairman of a national party is murdered? Law and order is a disgrace. Fear of the law or the police does not exist.
