Kalki 2898 AD is breaking various records at the box office and during one of the interviews, producer Aswini Dutt said pawan kalyan suggested a hike of Rs 1000 to 1500 and he denied that. Audiences are already being driven to pirated websites or waiting for OTT releases by the present ticket rates, which are ₹300. The cost range of ₹1000–₹1500 is unsustainable, even for the best multiplexes in Hyderabad.
This has been trolled by netizens in tamil Nadu as most of them say this is what the people get for electing an actor who doesn't have any sense. Most tamil people commented that cinema is just a cheap form of entertainment and instead of a reasonable hike for such big films, granting a mammoth hike is brainless.
