Super Stars Wasted in Telugu Cinema!

SIBY JEYYA
Recently, telugu filmmakers have made it a habit to use foreign actors in their pan-Indian productions. This was evident in the cases of Salaar and pushpa when prithviraj Sukumaran and Fahadh Faasil were brought in for the respective films. According to recent speculations, prithviraj has signed on to work on the Mahesh-Rajamouli movie. It's worth noting that the native Mallu audience has initiated a new narrative on social media, claiming that their heroes' potential is being wasted due to typecasting.

They claim that Mallu stars are exclusively cast in telugu films for template parts that don't allow for much room for acting, and as a result, their stars have to dedicate a lot of time to these productions. The Mallu people's main contention is that they should avoid seeing these films since their stars' acting talent is being wasted on them.

There is another side to the tale, even if this argument may have merit given that the two stars in question are exceptional performers and may not have given their all in telugu yet. An elite league actor cannot forego commercial highs in favor of acting-focused jobs. They must broaden their market reach, and working with telugu cinema, which is now the top sector, is the best way to do this.

Even though prithviraj and Fahadh are already well-known, pushpa and Salaar's success at the movie office simply helped to broaden their appeal. This may ultimately provide them with new opportunities. If otherwise, the actors themselves wouldn't be choosing these films.
