Telangana - Man forces wife into forced abortion, She Dies

In Kodad, Suryapet, a pregnant lady lost her life as a result of her husband pressuring her to get an unlawful sex determination test and then an abortion. In relation to the woman's death after an unlawful sex-determination test and a botched abortion, six persons have been placed under arrest. Among those detained were the woman's husband, who was accused of pressuring her to have the abortion, and a physician.
 
Superintendent of police (SP) reports that Suhasini, the victim, wed Ratnawat Harisingh in 2019 and the couple has two kids. Ratnawat warned suhasini that if she gave birth to another girl, he would leave her and marry someone else when she recently became pregnant.

At Kodad's Guruvaiah Hospital, suhasini had a sex-determination test, and the results showed that she was carrying a girl foetus. Under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC-PNDT) Act, 1994, prenatal sex determination is prohibited in India.
 
The pregnant lady died as a result of the hospital doctor's offer to conduct an abortion after the unapproved sex-determination test. Six persons have been detained in relation to this event, including the doctor and Suhasini's spouse.

Ratnawat drove suhasini to the New Kamala Hospital in Huzurnagar for an abortion following the illicit test. suhasini lost a significant amount of blood as a result of the abortion pills that Dr. Sheikh Qasim gave her.

While being taken to hyderabad for more treatment, she passed away. Under the PC-PNDT Act, the Chivvemla police have filed a complaint against Ratnawat, Dr. Qasim, and four other people. All of the defendants have been taken into custody.
