Telangana CM's New Rule for Ticket Price Hike

SIBY JEYYA
Producers frequently visit the governments of telangana and andhra pradesh to request increases in ticket prices whenever a big-budget film is scheduled for release. This custom has been followed for a very long time. In the meanwhile, revanth reddy, the chief minister of telangana, has required all filmmakers, even those who work on high-end productions.

He declared that all shows in every theatre in the state would have to include a screening of awareness films against drug use and cybercrime. He asked well-known actors, directors, and producers to make awareness videos on these societal issues and send them to the police or government authorities.

He also expressed gratitude to chiranjeevi for creating a film for the recent international Day against Drug Abuse that highlighted the risks associated with drug usage. revanth reddy underlined that awareness videos on these subjects had to be shown before the main film, even if it is costing hundreds of crores. He observed that, despite their requests for higher ticket prices, producers have not demonstrated much effort in raising public knowledge of the risks associated with drug use and cybercrime.

Consequently, he mandated that before or after the movie showing, all producers and theatre owners must show three-minute awareness videos on the risks associated with drug use and cybercrime. He issued a warning, saying that any actor, director, or producer who disobeys these guidelines would not be supported by the government going forward.

Revanth Reddy's attempt to engage actors and celebrities in raising awareness about drug use and cybercrime is commendable. Unlike the previous cm of andhra pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy, who insisted on movie stars to pay homage to him, submit to him, and support him through electoral bonds, this is a wise choice.
