Hyderabad - IT minister asks Microsoft to finish expansion of data centres by 2025

On Monday, July 1, microsoft executives met with telangana IT and industries minister D sridhar Babu to explore the development of Microsoft's data centres near Hyderabad. The minister asked microsoft to finish the expansion by 2025 so that hyderabad may become a leader in cloud computing and data security.
 
Minister sridhar Babu gave microsoft assurances at the meeting at the telangana Secretariat that any problems with land distribution and essential utilities would be fixed by designating a specific nodal officer. 

To create its largest data centre area in India, microsoft has purchased 22 acres in Mekaguda village, 41 acres in Shadnagar, and 52 acres in Chandenvelly, Hyderabad.
 
But the business has expressed reservations about the 22-acre plot of property in Mekaguda, particularly with relation to problems with the gramme panchayat there.In response, Rangareddy district Collector K. Shashanka was given a directive by telangana IT minister sridhar Babu to address these concerns before the end of the day.
 
Additionally, the minister gave microsoft assurances that flood prevention measures and an upgrade to the local power substation would be implemented.
 
Furthermore, he directed authorities to finish the procedures required to enable microsoft to establish its data centre on the 22-acre Mekaguda land lot.
 

Data Centres in Hyderabad

Microsoft already has three data centre regions in India: Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai. With the addition of hyderabad, the company will have the largest data centre region in India.
 
Microsoft intends to use the incentives provided by various state governments for data centre investments as well as this expansion to build its data centre business in the nation.
 
It is anticipated that Hyderabad's new data centre zone would offer cutting-edge cloud computing and data security solutions, assisting nearby companies and generating employment opportunities.
