Amrapali attended IIT madras to complete her degree after being born in Visakhapatnam. Later, she attended IIM Bangalore to study MBA. She is from the IAS 2010 batch and achieved the 39th place in the UPSC All-India rankings. Her career began in the Rangareddy district as a sub-collector. Afterwards, she served as the warangal Rural and Urban Districts' collector as well as the joint collector for Rangareddy.
Later, she served as the Prime Minister's office deputy secretary and Union minister Kishan Reddy's private secretary. She was assigned to important roles in ghmc and hmda following Congress's election to power in telangana last year.
