Working president of the tpcc B Mahesh Kumar Goud questioned on friday why the pink party opposed telangana Martyrs Memorial being included in the state emblem, a day after BRS working president KT Rama Rao visited charminar to protest the state government's plan to remove the image of the historic structure from the emblem.

"Why is the BRS opposing the representation of Martyrs Memorial in the state emblem of telangana, which was formed due to the sacrifices of martyrs?" the congress leader questioned during a news conference held today.

Mahesh also criticised the BRS for opposing to the state government's choice of oscar winner MM keeravani to provide the music for the telangana state anthem, Jaya Jaya Hey Telangana.

"Did the BRS leaders disregard Pullela Gopichand, lakshmi Manchu, and chinna Jeeyar Swamy's nativity (origin) when they gave them precedence during the BRS regime? We don't oppose Swamijis. However, kcr forced Andhra-born chinna Jeeyar Swami to occupy the chief minister's seat. Additionally, Pullela Gopichand, a badminton teacher, and actresses Samantha, lakshmi Manchu, and rakul preet singh were named ambassadors by the BRS administration, he added.

"Keeravani was chosen by Ande Sri to write the melody for the telangana anthem. The state government did not make that choice, Mahesh continued.

He claimed, "KCR and his family used the telangana sentiment for their personal gains," accusing BRS president k chandrasekhar rao of inciting telangana feeling with his hateful anti-Andhra stance.

Mahesh said that the congress is currently working to execute a pledge it made around two years ago to alter the state emblems.

"We have chosen the symbols which represent the true spirit of telangana movement and the sacrifices made by the people," senior congress leader Mallu ravi stated in the interim.

Vice-chairman of the AICC Adivasi Cell Bellaiah Naik questioned why someone who identifies as tribal, like him, can embrace Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, a representation of Kakatiya monarchs who slaughtered the tribal gods Sarakka and Sammakka.
