Guntur LS Roundup: Pemmasani Vs Rosaiah

SIBY JEYYA
The lok sabha seat of guntur represents a vibrant political landscape made up of seven Vidhan Sabha segments. guntur has historically been ruled by the congress party, but within the last 20 years, the telugu desam party (TDP) has become increasingly powerful. Prominent candidates including Kilari Venkata Rosaiah of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu congress Party (YSRCP) and Pemmasai Chandra sekhar of the telugu desam party (TDP) are running in the forthcoming lok sabha elections, which are scheduled for May 13, 2024, during Phase 4.

The TDP's Dr. Chandra sekhar Pemmasani stands out as a strong contender with a substantial income. He takes over after Galla Jayadev, who left politics before of the election. Voter turnout was much higher in 2019 than it was in 2014, when Jayadev defeated YSRCP candidate Modugala venugopala reddy in a tight race. Kilari Venkata Rosaiah, the YSRCP's candidate for the ponnur constituency's Legislative assembly (MLA), would be a formidable opponent for Pemmasani. He has a previous Union minister as a relative as well.

The electoral speeches are full of hopes and promises for the future of Guntur. Pemmasani promotes economic expansion by drawing in multinational corporations to create job possibilities. Rosaiah, on the other hand, promises to improve irrigation and drainage systems, strengthen infrastructure, and lessen traffic jams. Rosaiah places more emphasis on infrastructural improvement and grassroots development, whereas Pemmasani presents a vision of economic success. Who wins the guntur lok sabha seat would be intriguing to watch.
