Glam Divas Making a Statement with Guns

It appears to be the season of gun-wielding females in Tollywood, with reigning actress samantha brandishing a twin barrel rifle on the poster for her next movie "Maa Inti Bangaram" and kajal aggarwal brandishing a gun as a police officer in her upcoming release "Satyabhama."

The producer-director abhishek Nama, who forced actress Samyuktha menon to carry a pistol in his most recent film, "Devil," acknowledges that "gun-wielding divas is a new fad in T-town." "Actresses can execute a wide range of roles, in my opinion. He continues, "They are trying to project a new image and show off their versatility by displaying their new skill-wielding guns."

Actresses like Saiyami Kher ('Wild Dog'), anjali ('Nishabdham'), anasuya Bharadwaj ('Kshanam'), and payal rajput ('5 W'), to mention a few, have expressed interest in stepping away from glossy roles. "Actresses are primarily limited to glamorous and vivacious roles, though occasionally they land roles involving guns." They play angry characters to connect with the general public since action-oriented girls raise the value of the brand. 'Nishabdam's director Hemanth Madhukar, who taught actress anjali in firearms, argues that posters and initial looks draw in more viewers and give them a new audience and image as well.

Undoubtedly, some actresses appear to be undergoing an image makeover to highlight their shooting prowess and expand on their performing repertory. "Undoubtedly, exhibiting fiery sides is a component of a makeover for one's image," Priyamani, who worked with firearms in the films Jawan and Virata Parvam, says.

Everything is dependent upon the characters and screenplay that we are playing. Actresses need to be able to wield firearms with grace and comfort, whether they are playing naxals or police officers. Since it was a historical play and I had to practise with antique weapons, it was first challenging to run up and down the valleys with big cannons. But I could manage a stylish rifle in 'Jawan' more easily," she continues.

"Not at all, but yes, a gun-wielding personality on screen raises the rating of an actress and reinvents the image a bit," she responds when asked whether she wants to adopt a hero role.
