Happy Birthday Hitman - Rohit Sharma Turns 37

G GOWTHAM
After captaining the indian test team to a 4-1 victory over a formidable english opposition, rohit sharma was relieved of his captaincy by his mumbai Indians, an IPL club he had helped win five titles. However, nothing in the first few games of the current IPL suggests any animosity, whether you're watching him field in the deep or sitting in the players' arena. On the pitch, he doesn't display any too friendly demeanour or show that he disagrees with the new captain, hardik pandya, who is being jeered by the crowd.

Some claim he is overly carefree. Others with whom he has had difficulty. Regarding Rohit, he is indifferent. That's because, despite the fact that most people think highly of him, he doesn't really care what they think of him. Not only is the "Hitman" of indian cricket a maestro of huge sixes and score-breaking feats. In addition, he's a remarkably likeable celebrity with a charming, relatable charisma that wins over admirers everywhere.

Firstly, he exudes an air of relatability due to his everyman persona. He's not a toned fitness enthusiast or a chic fashion star. He has a laidback manner, a touch of a stomach, and somewhat plump cheeks, giving him the appearance of the kind person next door rather than a scary cricketing great.

While his batting has some resemblance to the legendary Virender Sehwag, it falls short of that player's incredible record, particularly while playing abroad. Even yet, on his best day, he pushes boundaries with ease and leisurely flicks, and his timing is so impeccable that it almost seems ridiculous. Not a powerful athlete, more like a talented artist at work.

Having eclipsed chris Gayle's record of 553 sixes, he is now the all-time top six-hitter in international cricket across all formats, which is almost surprising. Like him, Rohit seemed to have no trouble scoring sixes, which reflect his passion for the game. Because he still has a little child inside of him who obviously just enjoys playing cricket, despite his celebrity and wealth. It's hard not to admire such contagious excitement, whether he's commemorating a personal achievement or a teammate's wicket.

His path in cricket hasn't been without its challenges. His career, with its inconsistent beginnings and label of "talented but lazy," is a reflection of many of our own challenges. In addition, even though the best players insist that he was always incredibly gifted, his ascent to the top encourages the age-old notion that "If he can do it, so can I." But instead of wearing a pendant on his shoulder, Rohit wears his power like an invisible cloak.
