Arvind Kejriwal arrested by Enforcement Directorate in Delhi liquor policy case

Arvind kejriwal, the chief minister of delhi, was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate on thursday after being questioned and having searches conducted at his home in relation to the delhi liquor policy case.

AAP minister Atishi said that arvind kejriwal "is and will remain" the chief minister of delhi after Kejriwal's incarceration.

Additionally, the AAP has petitioned the supreme court to overturn Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. AAP minister Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, "We have prayed for an urgent hearing tonight and we have moved the supreme Court."


The event happened a few hours after the delhi high court turned down his request for temporary protection from any kind of coercion. kejriwal had been in court to contest the summons that the Enforcement Directorate had sent him.
 
In the delhi liquor policy case, the high court had directed the ED to gather all of the evidence against Kejriwal. The judges saw the evidence that was presented to the court.
 

On thursday, the delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) following searches at his official house and a nearly two-hour long interrogation of the AAP leader on the money laundering investigation related to the excise policy issue. Hours after the delhi high court denied him temporary immunity from coercive action against arvind kejriwal in the money laundering investigation, he was arrested.
