In certain parts of hyderabad, the drinking water supply won't be restored till 4 PM today. Due to urgent work being done by the hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), the decision was taken.
Areas in hyderabad affected by drinking water supply disruption
There will be no drinking water available until 4 p.m. today in the following areas: Gandipet, Kokapet, Narsingi, Puppalaguda, Manikonda, Khanapur, Neknampur, Manchirevula, Shaikpet, Tolichowki, and Golconda. This is not the first time; earlier this year, the city's supply of drinking water was interrupted many times. Most recently, on march 10, a large number of Hyderabadi neighborhoods were without access to potable water, and other neighborhoods also had problems with water delivery around that same time.
No water problem, says CS Santhi Kumari
According to telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, there is enough water in the state's reservoirs for there to be no issues with drinking water throughout the current heat.
She stated that repairs should be made on a war footing basis and that the supply of drinking water in hyderabad and other telangana districts should be maintained at a review meeting with authorities on march 19 over the state's drinking water supply crisis.
Principal Secretary of the Municipal Department Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary of panchayat raj and Rural Development sandeep Sultania, Secretary of the Irrigation Department rahul Bojja, Commissioner of panchayat raj Anita Ramachandran, Commissioner Ronald Rose of the GHMC, director of the Municipal Department Divya, Mission Bhagiratha ENC Krupakar Reddy, and other officers attended the review meeting.
