Today marks the opening of the mumbai Coastal Road!!!


On monday, march 11, traffic is scheduled to begin on the southbound coastal road corridor in south mumbai, popularly referred to as mumbai Coastal Road Project Phase 1. This stretch of road runs between Worli and Marine Drive. Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, visited the massive project's construction site on Thursday.

On october 13, 2018, the building of the mumbai Coastal Road commenced, with an estimated cost of ₹12,721 crore.

According to Eknath Shinde, a 320-acre, world-class central park will be built along the "Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Coastal Road."

In the first phase, the 10.5-kilometer stretch will be made accessible to vehicles. drivers can access the coastal route at Worli Seadata-face, the Haji ali interchange, the interchange at Amarson, and they can exit at Marine Lines.

Mumbai police traffic alert

The mumbai police said in an official traffic notification that vehicular traffic on Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road and on bindu madhav thackeray Junction to Marine Drive (Princess Street Bridge) South Bound will be partially opened for traffic on Dharamveer Swarajya Rakshak Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Marg (Mumbai Coastal Road), which was built for fast traffic movements.

The hours for vehicle travel would be 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., monday through Friday. It is totally forbidden to pull over, get out of the car, or take pictures or movies while driving.

The mumbai Coastal Road has the following entry and exit points: bhuvan Madhav thackeray Junction, Raji patel Junction (Lotus Junction), Adams Garden, and Marine Drive (Princess Street Bridge).
