Andhra cricket body issues Response to Hanuman Vihari

After the state-run organisation declared an investigation against the senior batter, who claimed the ACA was pressuring him to resign as skipper at the beginning of the current season, the acrimonious dispute between Hanuma Vihari and the Andhra cricket Association took a new turn. After Andhra's Ranji Trophy campaign ended in loss on Monday, Vihari declared he would never again play for the team because of the "mistreatment" he had received from the state association.

Additionally, Vihari attacked a reserve teammate who happens to be a politician's son, claiming that after the veteran player shouted at him during a game, he had asked his father to take action against him. A junior player at the time filed a complaint against Vihari, according to the ACA. Along with a single line of commentary, Vihari had shared a copy of his statement—signed by other members of the Andhra squad—on his X account.

"the complete team knows (what transpired on that day)." "The sad aspect is that the association believes that players must listen to whatever they say, and that players are there for them. I've determined that I would never play for Andhra, where I lost my self-esteem."
"Addressing the reported issue, it has come to our attention that Mr. Vihari personally verbally abused a specific player during the bengal Ranji game in front of everyone. The affected player filed an official complaint with ACA," Andhra cricket Association said in their statement.
