Telangana - Superstition surrounds tragic death of young woman MLA
After her car struck a road barrier, the 37-year-old secunderabad Cantonment native and graduate of software engineering received severe injuries.
Tragedy struck when the mla and her family were on their way back to her hyderabad home from a well-known Dargah close to Sadashivapet Mandal in the sangareddy district. She became trapped in a lift in december 2023 when an overload caused it to plummet from six feet above. She made it out unscathed.
She was killed in the third incident on friday morning.
According to local media sources, the mla has been going to different faith healers in dargahs and temples and donning mascots (taweez) supplied by superstitious figures to ward off the evil eye.
During the autopsy, doctors discovered twelve mascots bound over MLA's body and given to the police.
