Protests against the Gaza war have consistently targeted Israel's embassy. Pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian demonstrations have been sparked across the US by the Gaza war. After 1,200 Israelis were murdered and 253 hostages were taken in a cross-data-border raid by Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist organisation that controls Gaza, on october 7, riots broke out.

According to Palestinian health officials, Israeli forces have now launched a military operation against the coastal enclave, destroying most of it and killing up to 30,000 people.
