On Saturday, february 24, the city police made three arrests about an illicit trade operation that involved the seizure of Rs 2 crore. The primary suspect, Mahendra Singh, a resident of Rajasthan, was taken into custody for manufacturing and distributing counterfeit home goods, such as hair oil, tainted tea and masala powders, cleaning solutions, detergent soaps, and powders.
According to the police, he was apprehended alongside his colleagues Mithlesh Kumar and Triyam Kumar, while two others, shyam Bhati and Kamal Bhati, fled.
Three locations were raided by the police: Katedhan Industrial region inside the boundaries of Mailardevpally region (Cyberabad), Keesara Mandal (Rachkonda), and Nagaram.
The group's strategy involved obtaining packaging and raw materials from several places, such as Delhi, Bangalore, and Gujarat.
According to a press statement, they would hire immigrants from bihar to produce and package the phony items, attach stickers from reputable brands, and then sell them at low costs to different supermarkets and Kirana stores around hyderabad through distributors on commission.
It added that in addition to breaking copyright rules, this illicit behavior posed serious health hazards since some of the items had potentially harmful ingredients.

136 bottles of Parachute coconut oil, 160 boxes of Surf Excel big bars, 5 packing rolls of Surf Excel Detergent cake, 125 bags of Active Wheel 2 in 1 Detergent powder, 72 boxes of Brook bond red Label Tea Powder, 4 carton box of Harpic liquid, 800 pieces of red Label Tea Powder, 168 bottles of Lizol liquid, 3 bags of Everest chicken Masala.
A case has been registered in the kachiguda police station. Further investigations are on.
