Biden calls Benjamin Netanyahu 'as***ole'

In a claimed private meeting, US President Joe Biden reportedly branded Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu a 'as***ole' and criticised him harshly. In an interview with NBC News, Biden reportedly voiced his frustration about Netanyahu's actions in Gaza and said that although he was attempting to persuade israel to accept a truce, Netanyahu was "giving him hell" and that it was unmanageable. Three persons who were aware of Biden's remarks reportedly verified the news.

Additionally, the US President declared that Netanyahu's assault in Gaza was "enough and needed to stop."

According to the White House, Biden advised Netanyahu during their almost 45-minute chat on sunday that israel shouldn't begin a military operation in Rafah until it has a solid strategy in place to guarantee the protection of the approximately 1 million Palestinians who are now seeking refuge there.

The US President had already criticised Netanyahu in private at the beginning of this month as well, branding him a "bad f***ing guy" as the Israel-Hamas conflict rages and support for the Jewish state wanes.

Afterwards, though, US President Joe Biden's spokesman Andrew Bates refuted the US President's use of derogatory language, stating that he "did not say that, nor would he".

A CNN article claims that Joe Biden has been more and more irate with his Israeli colleague behind closed doors, accusing him of disobeying his advice and impeding attempts to ease the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Biden has refrained from publicly attacking Netanyahu thus far. However, he has grown more critical of Israel's strategies; last week, he expressed his opinion that the campaign in Gaza is "over the top," which was one of his most pointed criticisms of the military operation against Hamas to yet.
