China's Influence: Maldives' Affiliation.!

Maldives, the smallest island country in the indian Ocean, has exhibited a pro-China stance since the presidency of Mohammad Meijju. The Maldivian President chose china for his inaugural foreign visit, indicative of the nation's data-alignment. Despite earlier supportive gestures toward india, Meijju has recently taken actions raising concerns.

Indian soldiers were asked to leave the country upon Meijju's assumption of office, and he did not express regret for sarcastic remarks made by Maldivian ministers about indian Prime minister Modi's visit to Lakshadweep. In a further escalation, Meijju granted permission for a Chinese spy ship to anchor in the maldives, indicating a shift away from India. The situation intensified as the indian Navy intercepted three Maldivian fishing boats in the vicinity of the maldives Economic Zone.

In response, the maldives government has demanded an explanation from india, alleging a violation of international maritime laws. The Ministry of Defense of the maldives issued a statement accusing the indian Navy of intercepting its fishing boats without prior notice, challenging India's actions in the Maldives' claimed area. The Maldivian government seeks accountability, urging india to provide a clarification and address the incident involving the indian Coast Guard ship intercepting Maldivian boats. As tensions rise, the response from the government of india is awaited.
