The incident, which occurred on friday night, has garnered widespread attention, though the motive behind the murder remains undisclosed.

Ramanaiah, serving as the visakha Rural Tehsildar, was stationed on the fifth floor of an apartment in Kommadi, Maduravada. His transfer from visakha Rural to Bantupalli in vizianagaram district was imminent due to the upcoming elections. On friday night, after attending his duties in vizianagaram, he returned to Visakhapatnam and someone visited him around 10 p.m.

However, what began as a meeting turned into a heated argument, ultimately resulting in a fatal encounter. The unknown person, carrying an iron rod, violently attacked the tehsildar during the altercation.
