Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to Hamas militants as the 'new Nazis' as he condemned the international court of Justice's decision to uphold South Africa's genocide claim against Israel. Speaking on international Holocaust Remembrance Day (the anniversary of Auschwitz's liberation), Netanyahu also displayed an Arabic-language edition of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.
"New Nazis now get help from South Africa," Netanyahu remarked.

"The very willingness in The Hague to discuss this ridiculous claim," Netanyahu said at a news conference in Tel Aviv, alluding to the court's ruling.
"The very fact that it was not dismissed... proves that many in the world have learned nothing from the Holocaust," the Israeli prime minister remarked.
On Friday, the World court ordered israel to take steps to avert genocide, but it did not call for an immediate ceasefire.
In a case brought by South Africa, the court ruled that israel must ensure that its soldiers do not commit genocide and take steps to alleviate the humanitarian condition for Palestinian inhabitants in the enclave.
In the verdict, 15 of the 17 judges on the international court of Justice (ICJ) bench voted for emergency measures that addressed the most of South Africa's requests, with the important exception of ordering a halt to Israeli military activity in Gaza.
According to Gaza health officials, Israel's military campaign has devastated the densely populated region and killed over 25,000 Palestinians in roughly four months.
