To guarantee a respectful and dignified disposal of ram Dhwaj and the National Flag following Republic Day festivities and the 'pran pratishtha' at Ayodhya, the New delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has released a set of instructions. The council has also made available a centralised number and an app for submitting a request for deposition. The NDMC stated that the flags, whether damaged, ripped, or scattered, must be appropriately disposed of.
All Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), Market Traders Associations (MTAs), and inhabitants of the NDMC region, as well as service customers, have been asked to leave such flags at their respective region Sanitation Offices, which have been set up at 14 places around the NDMC territory.
The locations and contact information for the relevant personnel were made accessible on the NDMC's official website. For disposal, all persons have been urged to dial the centralised number '1533'. They can also connect onto the NDMC 311 app and request the collection of such flags.

The sanitation personnel was told to follow appropriate process while collecting and disposing of national flags in accordance with the Flag Code. Similarly, for ram Dhwaj, the sanitation team was instructed to follow correct collection and disposal methods.
