Fighter - DEAD Even Before Take Off

SIBY JEYYA
In 2023, the film landscape saw blockbuster successes such as Jawan, Pathaan, Gadar 2, and Animal. As the curtain closes on this great year, the focus goes to 2024, with siddharth Anand's fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, premiering on january 25, coinciding with Republic Day. fighter, described as India's largest aerial action drama, sparked intense interest due to its data-size and cast. The unique coupling of Hrithik and deepika was its main selling point. The freshly released trailer promises an adrenaline-fueled, edge-of-your-seat action thriller with a patriotic undertone.
Despite the film's great anticipation, bookings are exceedingly low. Fighter's launch is expected to be a massive disappointment, with over 75,000 tickets sold in national chains before tuesday midnight. Forget Jawan and Pathaan; pre-sales are far lower than even Dunki, which was released in a clash and was a drama picture. Poor music, a lack of advertisements, and a trailer with mixed reviews, including some criticism for its jingoistic tone, are all blamed for the low pre-sales.
Initially envisioned as a 50 crore opening, Fighter's current view indicates that the trade will consider Rs. 25 crore a respectable milestone. 30 crore opening seemed out of grasp. Based on current bookings, the film might earn 22-23 crores net on its first day. With a large budget of 250 crores, the film's success is dependent on a consistent and profitable run at the box office. As fighter takes flight, the industry excitedly anticipates its path through the dramatic skies of 2024.
