Animal OTT Release - All Legal Hurdles Cleared

SIBY JEYYA
Cine1 Private Ltd and T-Series have resolved their contract dispute over the film "Animal" outside of court, according to a notification received by the delhi High Court. The settlement enables the film's distribution on OTT platforms. The lawsuit came from Cine1's claims of contract breaches, which included a 35% profit share and intellectual property rights in the picture. The lawsuit accused T-Series of advertising and releasing the film without permission, hiding financial information, and failing to honor the agreed-upon profit split.
T-Series said Cine1 renounced rights for Rs 2.6 crore, alleging an alteration. Despite a scheduled hearing on january 22, all sides resolved the case. On january 24, the court will review it for disposition. The settlement allows "Animal" to be released on Netflix. However, there is still ambiguity over whether the planned release date of january 26 will be met, with further information due in the following days.
