Tollywood - Banning Collections? Where Is The Logic?

SIBY JEYYA
Telugu Film Distributor and Exhibitor Association has issued a press release. According to the press Note, the Association plans to send legal notifications to the box office Portals. According to the Association, unauthorized publishing of collection statistics leads to tax raids, strained producer relationships, and pointless fan confrontations. The first of the three reasons mentioned seems quite humorous.
Collections are only revealed for Tier-1 and Tier-2 star films. Typically, only compilations of Tier-1 star films are the subject of dispute. Producers for those films declare collections, which are invariably more than what the box office platforms report. If there are any tax concerns for distributors and producers, the situation should be exacerbated by the producers' overstated statistics.
So what is the reasoning behind box office websites leading to tax raids? The telugu Film Distributor and Exhibitor Association isn't concerned with strained producer relationships or unneeded fan confrontations.
Hanuman had a great first week, with a worldwide distributor share of 74.3 crore. The film's gross revenue stands at 138.7 crore. The film grossed 23 crore on its first day, including premieres, and is now at 138.7 crore after 7 days, representing a 6x multiplier. The pattern is excellent in the telugu version, from AP/TS to Overseas. The hindi version is doing well, but the film still has a lot of work to do with so much space for improvement.
