Mayawati, the head of the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP), said today that she will fight the 2024 lok sabha elections alone and that her party will not form an alliance with anybody. "BSP will not go in alliance with anyone but the option is open for post-poll alliance," mayawati stated in a statement.

Mayawati, the head of the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP), made a major declaration on Monday, stating that her party will not form an alliance and will contest the lok sabha elections alone. The previous chief minister of Uttar Pradesh stated this at a news conference in Lucknow. "I want to make it clear that Bahujan Samaj party will fight lok sabha elections alone, won't get into alliance with any party," she went on to say.

 
She emphasised the historical support of the backward community, Dalits, tribals, and Muslims that led to the formation of a full majority government in UP in 2007, and made it clear that the party will maintain a distance from those with "casteist and communal ideologies," reaffirming her stance of not participating in any alliance. The BSP president also addressed recent talk regarding her possible departure from politics. She announced akash Anand as her political successor, emphasising that her announcement does not mean her departure from politics. mayawati reaffirmed her commitment to continuing her efforts to build the party.
