Lakshadweep: "We won't be able to handle if more tourists come."?

Following the conflict between india and the Maldives, a significant number of indian travelers have also been drawn to lakshadweep tours. On the one hand, a lot of people backed "Chalo Lakshadweep" and it became popular on social media. However, lakshadweep mp Mohammad Faisal asserts that there will be an issue if the island receives more visitors. He has listed a few explanations for this as well.

"The ecosystem of lakshadweep is delicate."

The english news channel 'NDTV' stated that lakshadweep is unable to accommodate the large influx of tourists, according to mp Faisal. According to him, there aren't many hotels in lakshadweep right now. In addition, there are extremely few direct flights. Even with these barriers gone, there will still need to be restrictions on the amount of visitors because the island's ecology is so delicate.

"The island is composed of fragile coral."

According to Faizal, the coral that makes up lakshadweep is extremely delicate and sensitive to environmental changes. According to the lakshadweep mp, this is why the supreme Court-appointed Justice Raveendran Commission developed a "Integrated Island Management Plan". He noted that recommendations for restricting the number of visitors and other infrastructure development have also been included in this Commission report.

"There will be a lot of requirements for visitors."

The mp said lakshadweep was now concentrating on "high-level controlled tourism" due to the Commission's advice. With strictly regulated tourism, the Union Territory hopes to make the most money possible. According to him, the visiting tourists must also promise not to conduct any actions that could endanger the ecosystem.

In lakshadweep, there are 36 islands, but only ten are inhabited.

Let us inform you that lakshadweep is made up of thirty-six islands. Out of them, only ten are inhabited. Only 8–10% of Lakshadweep's population is currently employed in the tourism industry.

Following the widely shared post on prime minister Narendra Modi's visit to lakshadweep, several Maldivian ministers made disparaging remarks, which sparked a diplomatic spat between india and the Maldives.
