Telangana CM urges Centre to collect Rs 408 crore from AP for state
Revanth reddy sought 29 extra IPS personnel for telangana in his first meeting with amit shah after taking office, citing the development of new districts and the oversight of numerous departments. According to the Chief Minister's office (CMO), amit shah has guaranteed telangana the allotment of extra IPS officers from the 2024 batch of IPS officers.
The chief minister also asked the Union minister to resolve the long-pending asset division between the two states under the Ninth Schedule of the andhra pradesh Reorganisation Act, settle disputes on pending organizations between the two states, and complete the bifurcation of State Bhavan in New delhi smoothly.
He also asked the Union minister to focus on andhra pradesh claiming ownership of institutions that were not specified in the bifurcation legislation.
The chief minister requested Union Housing and Urban Affairs minister Hardeep Singh puri to approve the hyderabad Metro rail Phase-2 projects during his meeting with him.
He stated that the hyderabad Metro Second Phase (BHEL-Lakdikapul, Nagol-LB Nagar, 26 km, Rs 9,100 crore) and the airport Metro Corridor (Rayadurg-Shamshabad airport, 32 km, Rs 6,250 crore) should be repositioned.
He asked the Union minister to look into the possibility of the Central and State governments working together on this issue.
The cm also informed the Union minister that the state government has decided to develop the Musi Riverfront in hyderabad by establishing amusement parks, waterfalls, children's water sports, a business center, and shopping complexes, and pleaded with him to provide the state government with the necessary support.
He also asked the minister to release the remaining cash that would be paid to telangana in conjunction with the approval of new dwellings.
The chief minister, along with Irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar reddy, met with Jal shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat and proposed that the Palamuru-Ranga reddy lift irrigation project be designated as a national project. They stated that the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift project will provide irrigation for 12.3 lakh acres in the districts of Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Narayanapet, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda, which are suffering from drought and fluoride.
They further stated that drinking water will be delivered to 1,226 villages in six districts, as well as hyderabad metropolis.
