Police Commissioner warns that restrictions will be imposed on the New Year celebration and action will be taken against those who violate the rules. police Commissioner Balakrishnan met the media at the coimbatore police Commissioner's office. He then said that he spoke about the protocol and guidelines for the upcoming New Year celebration in 2024. He also explained about the security measures taken in the metropolitan area and the work of the police in view of the New Year festival. Earlier, a consultation meeting was held with the hotel staff to discuss the arrangements for the New Year celebrations in the star hotels. And by one o'clock in the night, all the celebrations should be over and the hotels should be closed. It was informed in the meeting that the sale or use of drugs etc. should not be allowed.


He also told reporters that 2,000 policemen will be engaged in security for the New Year celebrations. Strong security will be provided at sites like temples, churches and mosques. The police will be involved in security by placing barricades to prevent drunk drivers. Action will be taken against those who disturb public peace. Additional checkposts will be set up. Rules are given for venues where New Year celebrations take place. Measures have been taken to avoid the use of drugs. police action has been taken to celebrate the happy day of New Year.
