Mitchell Starc overtook Pat Cummins & changed history..!
Fast bowler Mitchell Starc became the first player in IPL history to be auctioned at Rs 24.75 crore, overtaking Pat Cummins who set the record for being the first player to be auctioned at Rs 20.50 crore. The auction for the 17th season of IPL 2024 is underway at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. In this, every team is competing to get talented players. In this, Sunrisers hyderabad are bidding for every player to strengthen their squad. So far, Sunrisers Hyderabad's Travis Head has been bid for Rs 6.80 crore, Hasaranga has been bid for Rs 1.5 crore, while Australian captain Pat Cummins has been bid for the highest amount of Rs 20.50 crore. With this, he became the first player to be auctioned for the highest amount in IPL history. Earlier, sam Curran was auctioned for Rs 18.50 crore in punjab Kings last season.
Before this, Starc, who played in the kolkata team in 2014 and 2015, took 20 and 14 wickets. KKR's purse amount is Rs 32.7 crore. A total of 12 players including 4 foreign players are up for auction.
