Tirunelveli has flood-like conditions due to heavy rainfall...

According to ANI, Tirunelveli's heavy rainfall has caused flood-like conditions, with major effects at the Courtallam and Manimutharu Waterfalls. According to IMD, on december 18, there is a chance of heavy rain in one or two locations over the tamil Nadu districts of Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, and Kanyakumari.

According to ANI, there has been a lot of rain since early sunday morning in the Southern districts of tamil Nadu, which include Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, tenkasi, Kanyakumari, and Ramanathapuram.

Daily life has been disrupted, especially in Tuticorin and tenkasi districts, by the downpour. Concerns regarding cyclonic winds impacting the eastern coastal regions of tamil Nadu and the gulf of Mannar have been warned by the Meteorological Department.

Furthermore, wind velocities between 40 and 45 kmph, with a maximum of 55 kmph, are predicted for unsettling weather conditions. From december 15 to 18, these conditions are anticipated to hold over the southwest Bay of Bengal, along and off the coasts of sri lanka and tamil Nadu, the gulf of Mannar, the Comorin area, the kerala coast, and the lakshadweep area.

The indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning, and fishermen from Nagapattinam district have stayed out of the water.

By securing their boats and fishing nets along the shoreline, they have exercised caution. According to ANI, there are 3,300 fiber boats and over 650 boats visible in more than 25 Fishermen's Hamlet settlements.

Over the next 24 hours, Chennai's weather is predicted to be mostly cloudy with a chance of moderate rainfall in certain places. It has been urged that fishermen in the area stay out of the water during this time.
