In a unique and disturbing incident, a borewell in Telangana's mancherial District leaked pink-colored water, sparking concerns about its safety for eating and other applications. The unusual pink discoloration of water was discovered when Katta Srinivasachari went to fill water from the borewell at his residence in Chennur Town, Telangana, to take a shower.

Srinivasachari opted to let the water run after observing that it was pink, believing that it would ultimately revert to its original hue. However, after letting the water run for more than 30 minutes, he was surprised to see that the color of the water had only become darker, giving him great anxiety. Unwilling to quit, the man turned off the outlet and returned to it later. However, it just heightened his concern about the chemical pollution of water.

"Every day, I get up at 4 a.m. to shower." The water may seem dark or black at times owing to muck or scum mixing with subsurdata-face water, but it returns to normalcy after pouring away the first release from the borewell. However, pink water is rare, according to Srinivasachari.

He documented the occurrence and notified officials, who took quick action to assess the quality of the groundwater in his neighbourhood. When word of the bizarre occurrence spread, neighbours rushed to see the pink-colored water.
