Halal-certified foods will no longer be sold...?

Uttar Pradesh has immediately prohibited food products with halal certification. The administration, led by chief minister Yogi Adityanath, has issued an order outlining the immediate prohibition on the production, distribution, storage, and sale of goods with a Halal certificate in the state. In fact, there has been a concern that certain businesses are marketing everyday necessities products that they have obtained Halal certification. This is being done to boost sales of a specific product and generate revenue.

At the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow, a formal complaint was also filed in this respect. Shailendra Sharma, a businessman, had filed a complaint at the police station. A case was brought against a number of businesses, including Jamiat Ulama Hind Halal Trust in Delhi, Halal Council of india in Mumbai, Jamiat Ulama maharashtra in Mumbai, and Halal india Private Limited in Chennai, based on Shailendra Sharma's complaint. Everything from soap and spices to dairy products is reportedly sold with a Halal certificate. These businesses were charged with operating unlawfully.

Government accused of 'adulteration' by Samajwadi Party

These businesses were charged with manipulating people's religious beliefs. Political parties began responding to the FIR after it was filed. The bjp called the Halal certificate issuing process fraudulent. The opposition Samajwadi party did not comment on the investigation being undertaken into the problem, but it accused the bjp government of adulteration and stated that all of this is happening at the hands of the government. The bjp stated that no one's religious sensibilities can be allowed to be damaged.
