In spite of the supreme Court's orders, massive fireworks were set off on Sunday, november 12, in chennai, the capital of tamil Nadu and one of the nation's major cities, in honour of Diwali. In the meantime, the police had also prepared to reduce pollution and stop any other undesirable events. Since the evening, the police have stepped up their patrols throughout the entire city.Following diwali, chennai police said on monday that 581 instances of igniting firecrackers without following the norms and endangering peace and order had been filed throughout the city. news reports state that 554 of the 581 lawsuits that have been filed in the city have to do with pyrotechnics after the deadline set by the supreme court alone.
Between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m., it was permitted to ignite firecrackers with a noise level of no more than 90 dB, and it was also requested that more green crackers be used. On monday, chennai police announced that eight people have been charged for violating government regulations by opening firecracker stores. On the other hand, 19 persons are facing charges for setting off firecrackers with noise levels over 90 dB.The city was full of lights, and the sound of firecrackers continued to resound.The entire city of chennai was illuminated with lights as soon as diwali night arrived.
