On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers advanced towards the residential parts of Gaza City while a barrage of heavy bombings pounded the Jabaliya refugee camp nearby for the second day in a row. israel claimed to have targeted terrorist commanders in the camp, but Hamas reported deaths among the Palestinian people. The 25th day of the conflict has allowed some foreign nationals and Palestinians with significant injuries to evacuate Gaza. 

Israel thinks that a sizable portion of Hamas' military infrastructure, including tunnels, is located in Gaza City. Through Qatar's mediation, a deal between egypt, israel, and Hamas permits restricted evacuations via the Rafah crossing.
