People have thronged the market to buy puja items for Ayudha Puja / Saraswati Puja today. navratri festival has been celebrated very well across the country since last week. Ayudha Puja is celebrated today as the festival of navratri comes to an end. navratri festival is a festival celebrated for 9 days. Goddess Durga is worshiped for the first three days, Goddess lakshmi for the next three days and Goddess Saraswati for the last three days. This festival is celebrated to show that education, wealth, and wisdom are important for a man. As Ayudha Puja is celebrated today, people have thronged the market to buy puja items to worship at their homes. Mainly today at home they do pooja by keeping the items that we use daily. Swami is worshiped with Pori, Kadalai, Aval, Fruits, Vada, and Payasam. Ahead of Ayudha Puja, sales have stopped since yesterday. The prices of fruits, banana sprouts, torans, and flowers have doubled due to puja days.
Today mainly household items i.e. everyday items are cleaned thoroughly and worshiped. The two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles in the house are washed clean, garlanded, and worshiped. By doing this, it is believed that the vehicle will not have any repairs or accidents. Similarly today they worship with books and pens. It is said that by worshiping such books, the grace of Goddess Saraswati will be perfect and children will excel in studies. Astrologers have predicted that 9 am to 10.30 am and 12 noon to 1.30 am is a good time to perform pooja. pooja can be done in the evening after 6 o'clock by 7.30 o'clock. It is mentioned that puja can be done from 8.30 pm to 9 pm.
It is believed that the children will gain knowledge when they read the books that are offered in puja today on Vijaya Dasami tomorrow. Similarly, Vidyarambam will be conducted in temples tomorrow for small children ie 2 or 3-year-old children. In other words, the first letter of tamil, A, is written on the rice paddy in the temples with God's blessing to start the study first. It is said that since education starts tomorrow, children will excel in education. As Ayudha Puja/Saraswati Puja and vijayadashami are coming on holiday, people have gone to their hometowns. Due to this, people have traveled to their native places. Special buses are being run by tamil Nadu Transport Corporation for this purpose. people started going to their hometown from Friday.
