Popular producer PV Gangatharan, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in kozhikode for the past one week, passed away due to old age. Noted businessman and film producer PV Gangatharan has been suffering from age-related problems for the past few years. He passed away on friday (Oct. 13), i.e. around 6 a.m. today, after being treated at a private hospital in kozhikode for more than a week due to his deteriorating health condition.
He has produced more than 20 malayalam films under the name of Grahalakshmi Productions. Films like 'Oru Vadakan Veerakatha', 'Asuvinde Amma', 'Dooval Kottaram', and others were produced by him and were well received by the fans. The 80-year-old, apart from being a businessman and producer, was also a member of the All india Congress Committee (AICC).
In 2011, he contested for the Legislative assembly from kozhikode North Constituency. Also a director of Mathrubhoomi for a few years as well as a producer, he has won two National Film Awards and five kerala State Awards. His children Shenuka Jaytilak, Shekhna Vigil, and Sherka sandeep are also working in the film industry. producer PV Gangatharan's death has shocked the malayalam film industry and fans alike. It is noteworthy that many people are paying tribute to his body and expressing their condolences to his family.
