Student gets in trouble with teacher for writing "Jai Shri Ram"..?
The beating of a student in a special class at a private school in muzaffarnagar has come under fire. Meanwhile, in a government upper secondary school in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, a case of beating a student by a teacher has also come to the fore. The child was beaten in such a way that he had to be admitted to the hospital.The hospitalized student said that he was beaten up because he had written 'Jai Shri Ram' on the blackboard of the class. The police have registered an FIR against the accused teacher and the principal of the school. The teacher and the principal have been charged under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 342 (wrongful confinement), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 75 (cruelty to child) of the Juvenile Justice Act. Formation of a three-member committeeThe matter has come after a viral video of a teacher in a school in muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly thrashing an innocent student on the basis of religious identity. Now after the incident in Kathua, the Deputy Commissioner issued a notification saying that a three-member committee has been formed to investigate it.The members include the sub-divisional magistrate of Bani, the deputy chief education officer of Kathua and the principal of the government Higher Secondary school in Kharote. The child is currently admitted to the hospital. The family members of the child have demanded the strictest punishment for the teacher.
