Medical Courses - 622 seats filled with 7.5% quota
1398 students have been called for medical education counseling for the 7.5% special internal quota for students studying in government schools and 622 seats have been filled, said the minister of Medicine and Public Welfare M.Subramanian.
Minister for Medical and Public Welfare M.Subramanian on thursday issued orders for 7.5% internal reservation order for government school students for medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) courses for the academic year 2023-24 at Kalayanar Centenary Higher Specialty Hospital, Chennai, Guindy. He also released the ranking list for postgraduate medical, dental and medical degree programs.
7.5% Internal Special Quota: Later on the occasion, minister M. Subramanian spoke: "3042 applications were received for the 7.5% Internal Special Quota of government School students for Medical (MBBS) and Dental (BDS) courses for the academic year 2023 – 2024. Out of this, the total number of accepted applications is 2993. Out of which 901 are male and 2092 are female applicants.
Also for sports category 179 applications were received out of which 114 applications were accepted. Also, 401 applications were received for Ex-serviceman category quota, out of which the number of accepted applications was 328. Also, 98 applications were received for the differently abled quota category out of which 80 applications were accepted.
