Green farm shops should be opened along with ration shops
AAMUK general secretary DTV Dhinakaran suggested that green farm shops should be opened along with fair price shops to control the rise in vegetable prices.

As promised in the election manifesto, the DMK government could have controlled the price of essential commodities if it had urged the central government to close the tollgates and subsidy on petrol and diesel. Even if the efforts of the central government to put a pen symbol in the sea which does not benefit the people in any way, even if a little was put into it, the people would have benefited a lot.
Also, this government has not yet taken any action to eliminate middlemen and hoarders involved in vegetable and grocery business. By opening green farm shops along with fair price shops, purchasing vegetables and groceries from farmers and producers throughout the year and providing them to the general public, despite the fluctuations in the market, producers including farmers can get the right price and consumers can also get essential commodities at low prices.
Therefore, I request the chief minister of tamil Nadu M.K.Stal to form a committee with experienced senior officials to check the increase in prices and take immediate steps to ensure the availability of essential products including vegetables to consumers throughout the year through green farm shops," DTV Dhinakaran said.
