Saichand, a well-known vocalist and the head of the telangana State Warehousing Corporation, is no longer alive. His wife, son, and daughter all survived him; he was 40 years old. Early on thursday morning, Saichand experienced a heart attack at his farmhouse in Karokonda village, nagarkurnool district, and was taken to the hospital. But while travelling, he passed away.

Throughout the separate state movement, the renowned folk singer was well-known for his many songs advocating for the creation of telangana as a distinct state. His songs were performed immensely throughout the "Telangana dhoom Dhaam" events held throughout the state during the agitation, and this was his biggest contribution to the separate statehood campaign. Many were enthralled by his voice, which also helped to fuel growing support for a telangana state of its own. In december 2021, he was chosen to serve as the chairman of the telangana State Warehousing Corporation, and he still holds that position now.

A number of BRS leaders joined BRS President and chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in sending their sympathies. The chief minister conveyed his grief at Saichand's passing in a message. He claimed that with his premature passing, telangana lost a pillar. Rao, who was playing eulogies for Saichand, declared that his melodies will live on in the State's memory forever. He sent his sincere sympathies to the family members who had lost a loved one.

Among those who paid tribute to the late leader were BRS Working President K T Rama Rao, Agriculture minister S Niranjan Reddy, Finance minister T Harish Rao, Speaker Pocharam srinivas Reddy, Council Chairman G Sukhendar Reddy, rajya sabha members J santosh kumar and D Damodar Rao, Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission B Vinod Kumar, and numerous other ministers. Rama Rao referred to him as a telangana icon whose name will live on in the state's history forever.
