Ponniyin Selvan 2 continues the story from where part one left off. The last-minute preparations are being made for Nandini's (Aishwarya Rai) scheme to assassinate the heirs and topple the Chola Empire. Did Nandini's plans come to fruition?

For the same reason, there is less fun. vikram completely nails his part and skillfully conveys the sorrow and misery of a crown prince who feels betrayed by love. Of all the actors, aishwarya Rai receives the more important role in the second film. She has an ethereal beauty and beautifully conveys the moral conundrum. She also performs admirably in a parallel part as an old woman.
The eagerly awaited confrontation scenes between vikram and aishwarya Rai successfully captured all the tension and misery. Compared to Part 1, Karthi's persona isn't as amusing. His character is more dramatic, and he treats the problem clinically as is his style. jayam ravi definitely shines in a few moving passages, highlighting his persona. Finally, trisha is capable but she lacks the key moments from the first performance.
