Ponniyin Selvan 2 continues the story from where part one left off. The last-minute preparations are being made for Nandini's (Aishwarya Rai) scheme to assassinate the heirs and topple the Chola Empire. Did Nandini's plans come to fruition?

For the same reason, there is less fun. vikram completely nails his part and skillfully conveys the sorrow and misery of a crown prince who feels betrayed by love.
