The researchers took evidence of the virus in the placentas of both the mothers infected with corona. An autopsy of the dead child revealed the presence of the virus in the brain. This direct infection also caused brain injuries, says Dr. Penny. Both mothers tested positive for the coronavirus. One had only mild symptoms. The child is fully developed. Another mother was very badly affected. The baby had to be delivered at 32 weeks.These are believed to be rare said Dr. Shahnaz Duara, an obstetrician and gynecologist. But he insisted that women who are affected by corona infection during pregnancy can get a medical check-up about the development of their children. He also notes that the development of children should be watched very carefully until they go to school, seven or eight years of age.
