Ban on films produced by that famous actor..!?
The madras high court has issued an action order banning the release of films produced by vishal Film Factory in case of failure to pay the amount received from Lyca. Actor vishal runs a production company. Through that, madurai Anbuchezhiyan has taken a loan of 21 crores and 29 lakhs. While unable to repay this loan, Lyca accepted and repaid it. Lyca was also guaranteed the rights to films produced by vishal until he repays the loan amount.
In the meantime, vishal released the film Veerame Vaagai Soodum starring him without repaying the loan. Lyca has filed a case in the chennai high court seeking an injunction against the release of vishal starrer Veerame Vaagai Soodum due to a breach of warranty.
When this case came up for a trial, the madras high court had ordered that actor vishal should deposit Rs.15 crore in the name of the Chief Registrar of the high court as a permanent deposit amount in the bank and also file property deeds. vishal had appealed against the order before a two-judge bench. The judges who inquired into this confirmed the order that vishal should pay Rs.15 crores. If it is not paid, they have closed the appeal case by banning the release of the films produced by vishal Film Factory in theaters or OTT until the judgment of the single judge session.
