Komatireddy cares a damn for PCC, won't step back
Even when Manikrao Thakre was appointed as the AICC's telangana affairs officer in place of Manickam Tagore, former minister and dissident telangana congress mp Komatireddy venkat Reddy did not alter his approach or attitude. On Thursday, Komatireddy met with the new telangana AICC in-charge for more than an hour but refused to budge from his rebellious stance after making outrageous accusations against Manickam Tagore, claiming the latter had accepted large sums of money from A revanth reddy to make him the PCC chairman.
"Thakre has not taken heed of my recommendations for moving the party ahead. He asked me to carry on supporting the party in my own way instead. The mp stated, "He asked me to stand up for the people and fight for the party's success.
Komatireddy claimed that the show-cause notices the party high leadership had previously given him were no longer valid and that he didn't give a damn about them. They were long ago discarded in the trash. There is no need to respond to it, he said. The dissident mp declared he would not like participating in or caring about the PCC committees.
He questioned how they could expect him to sit next to those who had lost their elections six or seven times. In the november Munugode by-elections, Komatireddy stayed absent from party activities for a considerable amount of time and did not support Palwai Sravanthi, the congress candidate. He didn't even join rahul Gandhi's padayatra through Telangana. The senior Congressmen who rebelled against revanth Reddy's leadership last month, on the other hand, received his support.
