Covid 4th wave panic: Testing of passengers starts!!!

The Ministry of Civil Aviation issued a warning on Friday, stating that the responsibility of bringing 2% of such people per flight will be on the staff members of the airlines. The random testing for COVID-19 of overseas passengers coming to india will start today. The personnel will recognise these people and transport them to the testing centre at the airport, the ministry stated in a message. These passengers will be permitted to go to their destinations after providing their samples.

Additionally, the government requested that the airport managers build the equipment necessary to test 2% of all international travellers for the coronavirus. Passengers will need to provide their contracts and address information after testing.

The Ministry of health and Family Welfare will pay for the testing. When certified bills are submitted, the ministry will repay the expense.

Passengers who will be tested will be chosen by the airlines. It would be ideal if these passengers were foreigners. After presenting samples, they ought to be let to depart. The Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme must be informed of any positive reports. They will subsequently be communicated to the relevant state or union territory. Passengers with positive Covid results should send their samples for genomic sequencing. The coronavirus testing procedure at mumbai airport will have three sampling booths and six registration counters, according to a statement released on Friday.
