Man held for molesting woman, throwing her toddler out of cab

In Palghar, Maharashtra, on Saturday, a cab driver was detained after he allegedly molested a woman while the vehicle was moving and threw her 10-month-old child out of the vehicle. The mother, who was also forced out of the car on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, is currently undergoing medical attention. The infant passed away there and then.

The indian Penal Code's provisions 304 (culpable homicide) and 354 (using criminal force against any woman with the intent to violate her modesty) have been used to book the defendant, who has been identified as Vijay Kushwaha (IPC). The incident sent shock waves across the Nation and seveal hashtags are trending already.

According to PTI, the woman and her daughter were travelling in a taxi with a few other people from Pelhar to Poshere in the Wada tehsil. The woman claims that the cab driver and other fellow passengers sexually assaulted her on the way there. According to the woman who reported it to the police, when she protested, they took her infant and threw her out of the racing cab. A police official claims that the accused even forced the woman out of the car, seriously injuring her.
